The Hero Hustle 5K is a mostly flat course with few moderate hills that journeys through the neigboring community of DBK corporate headquarters in Debary, FL.
The Hero Hustle 5K, previously known as the DBK 5K, is back for 2022! Now in its 7th year, this family fun/run event will now benefit specific charities focused on military veterans and their families.

The Hero Hustle 5k 2022 will benefit the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS), PTSD Foundation of America, and Mission 22.
DBK is the only general contractor in the nation to be certified a Purple Heart Entity, and they seek to enrich the lives of the men and women who have served our country. This new focus for their 5K event aligns with veteran and active-military organizations DBK continues to support and champion.
In the 6 prior years combined, this race has raised nearly $80,000 for the Kruid Charitable Foundation. Proceeds will be distributed from the Kruid Charitable Foundation to our event beneficiaries listed above.
EVENT SCHEDULE
- 6:30am: Registration/Packet Pick-up
- 7:30am: 5K Run/Walk
- 8:20am: Kiddie Dash (9 and under)
- 8:45am: Awards
- 9:00am: Party!
Timing and Scoring
The 5K run/walk will be professionally managed and chip-timed by Run 4 A Cause. Runners will receive awards in the following categories:
